Bought my 2019 Ridgeline in July, 2018. Had this code set in June of the following year and then again in July of that year. Took it in and They changed some filter on the evap system.
Had this code again in Sept 2021, when I took it in, confirmed that this happens in the 2017-2020 Ridgeline/Pilot. For a fix Honda has created a 'special' filter that would need to be changed periodically when this happens. The tech asked me if I lived on a gravel/dirt road, and indicated that this is the reason for this code.
I am being penalized for living in a rural location in Mohave County AZ...BUT when I went to purchase this truck, not one person asked me if I lived on a dirt road and if I did they would not sell me a truck.
Evidently I have to stand in a long line to get this filter as it has been 2 weeks...and while this is happening, on my dashboard I can only see how fast I am going and how much fuel I have...the rest of the display is overwritten with the "emission problem."
This is the reason I would not purchase another Honda.
