Just picked up a Lomax matte black access cover from a local dealer. Has anyone noticed the middle panel to be a different color / texture? Or is it just my eyes? Not loving those streaks in the top panel either. Tough to see in the picture but would love to get everyone's thoughts.

I have a Lomax Stance in black urethane. I see the issues in your picture and the one I have has no color shading difference, nor the lines in the top panel.

It looks like maybe it was stored incorrectly? Is it used or was it supposed to be new?

I bought mine directly from the company.

Did you buy direct from Lomax? If so, I would call them, send them pictures, and ask for an exchange. They are pretty good at standing by their product if something isn't right.

If you bought through a third-party, I think it still drop ships from Lomax.
I ended up getting it from an authorized dealer on their website. Yeah, I was a little disappointed when I unfolded it and put it on the bed. Pictures don't do it justice, very noticeable to me. After posting, came to realize those line marks on the top panel are also on the bottom panel. Depending on lighting and angle is when it is most noticeable. Going to call Lomax as soon as they open up to see what they say.

I see the lines on the back panel as well but don't see them on my version. It almost looks like matte black in the middle and urethane on the other two panels. Lomax is generally good to work with based on posts on the forum. They should make this right in some way. Keep us posted.

Yup, pretty noticeable depending on the lighting and angle. I kind of thought the same thing, like it was two different finishes. The middle panel looks less shiny, a little duller and is much smoother to the touch. The top and bottom feel more rough and textury, if that's a word. lol

I called Lomax first thing this though. Gentleman I spoke with was very pleasant to speak with. He told me to email warranty with the serial number, pictures and all my info. My gut feeling tells me they will make it right but will keep all posted.

Here's what the black urethane looks like on my truck. Just from your pics, it definitely looks to me like matte in the middle and urethane front/rear.
