Speedometer Cluster Gauge Question

Just wondering if anyone has tried putting a 2009 or higher speedometer in a 2008 or lower ridgeline. The reason I ask is cause the newer ridgelines have more information on the display like mpg meters. If so would you guys know how much a new gauge would go for at a dealership, or even if it would work at all. Any info would be great.

I don't think it would work due to the fact that the ecm callibration for the extra 3 HP you would have to check with the dealer But I'm almost certain the new dash cluster would not be compatible, let me know because I like the new clusters they are starting to look like an acura gauges

I'm skeptical that a gen 1.5 cluster would work in a gen 1.0 Ridgeline. The cluster has a microcomputer in it and my guess would be that the software is incompatible (it wouldn't talk properly with the other microcomputers that are in the truck).

But if you have the money, give it a try & let us know. Just be prepared to swap them back.

If you should go in for service, let the service guy know so the HDS doesn't try & flash the software with the wrong version.
