2021 ridgeline rtl 35,000 need advice on tires should i get a lesser tire knowing I don’t drive allot I have the oem stock tires they suited me fine but the cost between oem and Michelin, coopers are light years difference
My Michelin CC2's cost less than $1000 at Discount Tire and they will match or beat anyone's price. I took a Costco printout and they beat it by about $50 plus free flat repair, rebalancing, rotation. If money is an issue, how much is your life worth? Or your family's? Cheap tires are no real bargain in the grand scheme of things, BTW, my CC2's on my Subaru have 41,000 miles and 6 to 7/32" of tread and still evacuate heavy rainwater as if it's a dry road. The ones on my RL are just as good too.Your Firestone tires had a 60,000 mile warranty, correct? So you got only half life out of them? The original cost for Firestones is approximately $200 each so you should have been credited $100 each under warranty, (using round numbers.) Discount Tire lists CC2s at $1100 for a set of 4. Minus the $400 from your Firestone tires, your new Michelins should have cost you leaving approximately $700. Did I do that math correctly, folks?
