Researching with the view of possibly returning to the fold with Ridgeline #4 - I’m seeing that the VIN Decoder on these trucks specifies the previous, VTEC, SOHC engine we had in our last Ridgeline, a 2018 RTL-E - not the VTEC-less, DOHC engine advertised as currently offered.

Admittedly, I’ve used the NHTSA based website from our friends in the federal government. What could possibly be wrong with that?

Regardless, surely this is an example of lazy editing on that site. Or? . . .

The new J35Y8 is only on the new Pilot. There is speculation if it will come to the '24 Ridgeline, but I kind of doubt it, personally. I think it will come later with the new 3rd Gen Ridgeline in '25 or even as late as '26...

Well I just totally messed up - having not done a more thorough reading of where the J35Y8 was going. Guess I should trust the Federal Government after all . . .😂 Thanks for the correct info.
