Hi,

I am very excited! This evening we ordered a new 2025 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition! In black! It should be delivered in about 3 weeks.

After a couple of test drives, I was hooked. What a lovely truck, I love it.

This will be my first truck and first ever Honda vehicle.

I name all my vehicles & power equipment (all Honda). The truck's name will be Shen, short for Shenandoah, my favourite area to visit and take vacation.

So which accessories do you recommend?

Best wishes

My Take after owning a couple…

  • Touch screen protector film
  • Ceramic coating on the paint
  • IdleStopoernAuto Start-Stop disabler
  • Box Cover (I have Honda hard cover)
  • Running Boards to protect like rock rails (I have Honda Cast)
  • Dongar rear view mirror USB power splitter for your dash cam
  • Dash Cam
  • Weathertech front bumper plate frame
  • maybe Jump starter battery post extenders
  • 2 prong to 3 prong (ground lift) AC adapter for the AC inverter… as every worthwhile extension cord will be 3 Prong
  • Center console (and glove box) dividers for organization
  • 3D printed cup holder adapter rings (if they haven’t fixed the cup sizing for your year)
  • 32GB Fat32 USB formatted Thumbdrive for Map Updates
  • Maybe a ratchet bar for cargo restriction in the box
  • Tire gauge and plug kit
  • USB rechargeable flashlight
  • A friggn umbrella under the seat for the lady
  • Honda Black touch up paint pen (same can be used for the wheels)
BTW:
  • Loosen your spare tire wing nuts. The factory usually tightens them so tight you cannot loosen it the cold.
  • Spray your window runners with silicone spray (I use dry Teflon spray)
  • DIY, a radio on after turn off mod
  • Maybe a Shark WANDVAC to keep (shrug)

Other than splash guards, even that is debatable (Weathertech), I would skip most Honda accessories. I've had two Ridgelines, one with a Honda bed cover, and now my roll up cover. Both leak, but mine is cheaper with a better warranty. Same with all-weather floor mats, you can save money and get more of the floor covered.

I had a shop around and found this store - College HIlls Honda - to have Ridgeline accessories priced below what the typical Honda main dealers are asking and including the Honda Dream Shop. I saved over $300 compared to regular Honda accessory (non installed) prices.

Btw - and I only discovered this today - Collge Hilla Honda have a great Youtube channel with lots of 'how to' vidoes installing Honda accessories. I am not linked to them in any way but I am really impressed with their dedication to detail. All their accessories listed on their online store have PDF install instructions, too.

Here is what I bought and how much I paid. I will be getting the Honda OEM tonneau cover from the dealer who sold me my Risgeline, they gacve me a good discount on the cover and I will install it myself.

All Season Floor Mats
$139.00

Front Splash Guards
$47.76

Rear Splash Guards
$47.76

Towing Kit
$172.68

Body Side Moldings
$183.60

In-Cabin Cargo Tray
$37.56

Bed Cargo Net
$95.52

In-Bed Cargo Tray
$44.16

2" Towing Ball
$20.

1"7/8 Towing Ball
$20.76

Best wishes

Ok, after my initial comment, I'll contribute to this thread.

Within a short time after a 2019 purchase I installed the OEM rear seat cover (to proactively prevent dog damage), SofTopper (to keep things dry during a move), SS ball & SS mount (doesn't get rusty), BedRug (comfort my 73 year old knee and reduce cargo slipping), OEM cargo net, Tekonsha brake controller and full size OEM alloy spare. My new '24 BE has the same items too so I guess I like what I did the first time around. I did get the OEM tonneau on the '24 which when I'm on roadtrips will be replace with the SofTopper for camping purposes.

Can you help me with thiis, please?

Do you know of an online store that:

* stocks the OEM tonneau cover for a 2025 Ridgeline part # 08Z07T6Z101F (I assume this will fit the 2025, it fits the 2024)
and
* is below $1,000
and
* are doing free shipping or very low cost IE below $100

I've done extensive searches online and can only find covers local to me that are at full price ~$1200 and pick up only, or non local covers on sale but pick up only or on sale but charging crazy shipping EG $600 (seriously)

If you can help I'd appreciate it! Thank you,

Siouxsie

Dealers don't like to ship them now, so the shipping fee is high. My 2017's was shipped and it arrived in a destroyed box and dented... it was a hassle to have replaced. Your best bet is to find the best price from a Honda Dealer online, then go to your local dealer and ask if they can price match. It helps if you buy something else and make friends with the staff.

It's time consuming but here are the dealers that offer parts online that I know of. They all vary widely with the same part number. (for example Ed Martin Acura has it within your budget)

Floor Jacks

I'm thinking of getting a new floor jack to use on both my cfar for my car and also also my Ridgeline truck.

The one I'm looking at lifts to 20".

Do you know if this will be sufficient to get the Ridgeline's wheels off the ground or should I get a jack with a higher lift?

Thanks, best wishes

Floor jacks can be a very useful tool indeed and should be used with jack stands. What ever one you get, get the lightest one that does the job. Floor jacks are notoriously awkward to use.

Just installed TAZ running boards, nice design few inches off the front wheel well and same from rear wheel well. Then adjust them as needed, I really like the fact that you don't need a step ladder to clean, wash & wax roof or clean rear glass. Watch the length depending on your needs.

Wheel Well (Fender) protectors, below door HPD Bumper, Insect/stone chip hood protector, Tonneau bed cover. I also added the black lettering inside the Tailgate "Ridgeline Stamp" and swapped out the Tailgate chrome honda badge for a black one. The red truck truck looks really sweet with all the black trim

Just got new RL this week. Ordering extras.

1. Are there mudflaps out there that are " no drill". Can someone recommend a make?

2. I like having a wind deflector on the front of the hood. I prefer minimal impact on the painted hood. I know a lot use double sided tape.
Can anyone recommend a make that has minimal impact and maybe no tape?
Congrats on your new truck! I am still waiting for mine to be delivered. What trim did you get?

I am thinking of getting the hood deflector, too.

The Honda mudflaps ('splash guards', as they call them) are no drill. There are a couple of self tapping screws that are included that go into the fittings already installed in the wheelarch.

I got mine (along with other accessories) at a good discounted price from College Hills Honda. They also provide downloadable PDFs giving install instructions.

See post #23 of this thread to see the prices I paid from College Hills.

Best wishes

Souixsie,
For Ridgeline accessories you might try Products — The CampingRandy™ Store. I have not bought from him - yet, so I cannot personally vouch for him, but it looks like he has good prices and is into Honda stuff. He has been around for awhile. For instance he sells the hard tonneau cover for $845.00 instead of $1199.00 at the dealer and the cover ships from Honda. I am in the market for a new Black Edition myself, but just haven't done it yet. I currently have a 2010 RTL with 180,000 miles that I bought new. It has been an excellent vehicle, I am just ready for something new. Have fun with your new ride.

PLUS his $285 for shipping, which takes it to $1130 total. Just for awareness. Still a discount, but not as dramatic or could even be more expensive, especially if you can get $100 off from your dealer like I did.
