What are the most reliable wireless Android Auto adapters?

I have had the AAWireless AA adapter for a couple years now. It works great when it actually connects. My experience is about 25% of the time is does not connect forcing me to unplug/replug the USB. If that does not work I can shut off the truck engine and restart and many times it will connect from there. The whole thing is really annoying.

Is there a different brand or model that works better?

I have 2 AAWireless ones and a Moto MA1. One of the AAW is the older hardware version (was in the original Indiegogo release, this one is on software version 3.5.0) and the other is a newer version (software version 5.2.1). The older hardware/software version one is in the RL and is pretty reliable, but I would say it doesn't connect about 5-10% of the time. Typically unplugging and plugging the unit into the USB will fix it. I don't recall the newer hardware version really ever having that problem, but at the same time, it is in a vehicle where I don't use it all that much.

The MA1 I do find more reliable on average than the older hardware version of the AAW.

I would agree with you, Seth. I continue to use the MA1. I watched it closely yesterday. As I started the truck I saw the headunit attempt to connect the MA1 and it failed. After maybe 15 seconds it made another attempt and it connected that time. The failure to connect and then retrying is similar to what I was seeing with the AAWireless, but so far the MA1 has had more success connecting on the retry attempts.
