Just bought my '07 Ridgeline this summer. Love the truck, just want to dress it up a bit. I can't afford new chrome rims so I have been looking on-line at the chrome wheel skins from Auto Amenity to cover my current steel rims. Does anyone have history with using skins from them?

I don't know about that particular brand, but I had the chrome plastic skins on my stock alloy wheels for a while. From 10 feet away, you would be hard pressed to know they were plastic skins. The only downside is the foam aroudn the lip can dry out and they can start to rattle and, at least for the alloy covers, you would have to remove them before you could take off the lug nuts.

Here's a picture of when I had the chrome plastic wheel covers on.

Thanks Rusty (nice looking truck!). Assuming they need to come off a couple times a year for service or rotation how durable are they? It looks like not only do they install with the lug nuts but also slightly snap in place with built in clips. I'm concerned those plastic clips might break off. Any thoughts?

I don't know about the steel wheels, but mine were held in place only by the plastic tabs....which will break after repeated removal and installation. The reason I had to remove the covers is because they were so tight against the stock lug nuts that I couldn't fit a socket over them. What I finally wound up doing was cutting the backside of the socket holes with a dremel tool. I cut enough off so it still looked stock, but allowed a socket to fit over the lug nut. Then you can leave the wheel covers on for brake jobs, painting calipers, ect. However, if you're replaceing a tire, the covers will have to come off.
