I have located the drain tube but am really unsure as to how to even start taking apart the ac system to get to it and unclog the tube. Any info or directions would be greatly appreciatted!!Thanks in advance for all help.

How about using a wire coat hanger up the tube.... just like a colonoscopy

Tried the coat hanger theory but only went intot he tube about 8 inches. Then it stopped.

Looked at the manual and have not found anything that even comes close to showing where and how to disassemble the tube.

ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR INPUTS.

Walmart sells a hydration system cleaning kit in the sporting goods section. (A hydration system is one of those backpack canteens that has a long drinking tube attached for those who don't know.) Anyways, it comes with a very long and flexible bottle brush. I would think that this would be an optimal tool for cleaning the A/C pisser.

One of my Ridgelines is due for an oil change. I think I'll give this a try myself sometime this week.

I haven't had any AC drain issues with my RL yet, but we had an 1995 Accord that developed the blocked AC drain line and it was a PITA.

I'll try to remember to look for my drain line when I put my RL up on jackstands when I do my A12 + tranny service coming up in a few weeks.

For that matter, a flexible gun barrel brush.

May have a problem with a tight curve though...where's rotor-rooter when you need them??!!!

You also might pull a vacuum on that line.

Edit: Does any AC water come out of it or is it a total blockage?

Here's a silly question...if you know where one end of the hose is, and you know the general shape of the hose (from the parts diagram) can't you determine where the other end of the hose is and remove it to clean it? It looks like the hose slides over a tube

I wonder if this is where the AC drain line connects? It looks like the low point on the assembly. Look by the arrowhead from the Suction hose.

If this is it, I don't think the drain line will be very long.

I suspect that's it, as it is at the lowest point of the assembly.

I think it is. The 'nut shaped' item there looks like the 'gasket' in the parts diagram the Rollin posted.

But here's a question.....it looks like that would put it to the left of center (viewed from inside the truck) so if it leaked, shouldn't it be getting wet on the drivers side? Or am I disoriented?

Well, that point speedy has circled should be close to dead center under the dash I think...but how the hose is routed from that point I have no idea. I tried to find it by looking in the engine bay along the firewall, and maybe I saw it but did not know that was it.
I think I'll shoot an email to my mechanic. He has an RL he would probably know or could find it quickly enough.

I've unclogged hundreds of the drain tubes with a long air blow gun. The kind you hook up to a compressor and air hose. The only problem is getting to it from underneath without having the vehicle on a lift. In dire straits I took the tip off of the blow gun and got a piece of metal brake line with the fitting on the end. I screwed the fitting into the blow gun and cut off the other end of the brake line. It's only 1/8 of an inch thick and flexible. You can bend it so you can get it into the drain hole. Blow it out and usually it soaks you with all of the water that's built up in the evaporator case.

While I had my RL up on jackstands today, I looked for the AC drain line. It looks like it could be a challenge to run a wire hanger up to clear an obstruction.

If they crammed it in there any more it would have no place to come out!

Is that the bottom of firewall above it?

Yeah. The drain tube looks like it takes off at almost a 90* angle straight up from what you see in the pic. I didn't look to see how far it goes, but I'd bet not far if it connects like I think it does based on the schematic posted earlier in the thread.

I envisioned a smaller diameter tube dropping straight down from the firewall before I looked for and found the above.
