I'm fast coming up on 100K miles and other than tire and brake replacements, I've had nothing but joy from my Ridgeline. When is it recommended (if at all) that I should have the timing belt replaced? Should that include the water pump as well? Any other suggestions for 100K maintenance would be appreciated. THANX! Cheers, -Z-

unless you tow or drive in a lot of stop and go and dusty areas, you could get away with another 20 k miles, when it's time, change the serpentine belt, idler pulley, water pump. Other members have pushed it since the belt looked almost new after 105 k miles.

I would do fluids MM, and spark plugs, but if you tow or want to get it over with, change the items listed above too.

wait for the mm to let you know, it is at 105 k, not 100k

At 108K+ I replaced the Water Pump, Timing Belt, Timing Belt Tensioner, Timing Belt Pulley, Serpintine Belt, Serpentine belt tensioner & pulley. I paid $322.79 for a DAYCO Timing belt kit including taxes and shipping from http://www.RockAuto.com. Did the work myself and saved a bundle.

I bought my RL used at 98K+ and had no service records. My MM never did indicate the need, but better safe than sorry.

I also changed Oil, plugs and Anti Freeze at the same time.

There you go that is the whole list of things that need changing at 105-106K miles, I knew I forgot the cooling fluid but there were a couple of extra things that can be changed to avoid future issues.

Did your MM indicate anything at all? To me, that's a shortcoming in the MM system... when you buy it used, you have no idea how the maintenance has been done, unless you have records. I wonder if the MM code for the TB occurred before you bought it and if the PO just cleared it? How to know?

SpeedLever, My MM works as I just completed the B6 and have had to clear several oil changes, but no way to know waht was cleared before I bought it. Would be nice if the MM had a history so you could at least see when services "should" have been done. All my services are now logged on the Owners Link Web page.

BTW DJSTEVEZ. Probably a good time to check the Power Steering fluid and ensure it has not started to discolor and change it if needed.
