Mechanic is telling me I have a leaking washer hose and it's going to cost me $350 to replace it - it's a $17 part, so it's almost all labor.
Anybody done this repair themselves? I'm a very handy guy, but not exactly a car guy - critical maintenance I gladly leave to a pro, but if I can find a YouTube vid on how to do a simple non-critical car repair I'll do it, I can't seem find any such examples for this for a 2G RL.

Any help happily received!

If it truly is just a hose I would think its a matter of tracking down the routing and replacing it.... I've done it a plenty on classic cars but not on a Ridgeline. $350 is covering what ? Like 2-1/2 hours labor at a top rate ?
That long for a hose replacement ? I'm not buying it.

There are 3 washer hoses, assuming is the long one that goes from the washer fluid reservoir to the T-connection under the hood, you need to remove the under-hood insulator/pad and the right (passenger side) inner fender lining:

To remove the inner fender liner, you first need to remove the splash guard (if applicable) and the wheel arch protector. On a 2017, there are something like ~45 various screws and plastic clips to remove everything to get at this washer line...

If you haven't already, it's worth checking out @BeshmoHandes' thread to see if you can access the service info via your local library:

My 17' RTL has broken two lines and always at the hood metal feed through areas. I've just used the repair parts from the Advance auto. These are just couplers that connect two hoses together. Cost was about $10 so cheap. I did buy the hose from Amazon to replace it all but its just easier to put a coupler on the hose and takes 10 minutes tops.

Yeah, not a highly technical job. Looks like a possible major PITA, but you won't really know until you get into the job. I'd certainly recommend tackling it yourself unless your time is worth a whole lot more then what the dealer would charge.

With our recent pack rat experience we had to replace the hood insulation pad and the left side washer hose. The 3' section of hose from Carquest was clear, but otherwise installed perfectly. $2.50.

Oh, maybe because it has been 5 years, the replacement hood pad was much more substantial than the the original one that we replaced.
