I feel like it was an OK deal, probably could have done better if I knew I was going to actually buy one and bought a new 24 in December of last year).

3k down puts the payment at $399 including tax. 10k miles a year.

There probably is a $1500 sale bonus Honda is offering dealers helping on the discount but this is the biggest discount I have ever seen. Other dealers scoffed that the dealer could do this. I had my doubts when I rolled up to trade. Dealer plate on the new one. Great another 2k mile demo with a cracked windshield like they tried to sell me last time. No just 129 miles. Sales manager had just started commuting in it.

Strickly based on info gleaned from this chat, we now own a 25 Ridgeline Black Edition.

Several members have posted advising they received a full $5000 off the Honda sticker. Armed with that info yesterday we went in and drove a white Black Edition. I offered a full $5000 off the Honda retail window sticker - and they acted offended- pointing out they added accessories they valued at $1800. I thought I might get a return call (in another week or so), wishing to renegotiate.

BUT ... early this morning they called me, accepting my offer, AND eating the additional $1800 they added to the buggy. Their explanation was they needed additional sales for the month.

Of course there was additional sales tax and a document fee.

So I thank you members for posting pertinent sales info here.

2025 RTL+

MSRP- 46730
Dealer discount- 4730 (10% off MSRP)
Sales Price: 42,000
200$ doc fee
~800(TTL and Oregons new tax)
OTD $43k

Could choose between another 1,500 off with the rebate or financing apr. I chose 2.9% at 60 months. If I did the rebate that’s a 13.2% off MSRP cash deal. But the apr saves more on interest if financing..

also came with a couple accessories I didn’t pay for but they didn’t take off.

2025 BE Sonic

MSRP 48,655
Negotiated Price 42,793

Discount 5862

Working on the trade now but this part is done

The level of incompetence at some dealers abounds. Fortunately this one worked out and like I always say, labeling does not apply, it matters who you get to deal with on a given day.
Edit:
Trade is done. I had a 30k offer from Carmax and the dealer conveniently came in at a number that resulted in a tax netting that would be about 50 bucks cheaper for me to trade at the dealer and save a trip. No way around it unless I walked but the truck seems to drop a couple hundred dollars every week. Overall, kind of fun, reminded me of my trading days and feel like I still got it.

2025 Black Edition Sonic Gray
Houston, TX

MSRP$48,655.00
Discount$6,304.71
Your Price$42,350.29
Taxes (6.25%)$2,723.71
Fees$426.00
Unpaid Cash Balance$45,500.00

I also got the 0.99% interest rate, and $500 Veterans discount which they put towards my trade-in to lower my overall balance. The salesman said this is the lowest price he sees that gets approved for the Ridgeline.

2025 Black Edition, Crystal Black
Grand Rapids, MI.

MSRP$48,200
Discount$4,201
Your Price$43,999
Taxes (6%)$2,658
Fees$335
Unpaid Cash Balance$46,992

I did financing at 0.99%, no trade in. I shopped this hard around Michigan and Indiana/Ohio. I couldn't find anyone to beat this price, and calling dealers back a week later they had sold the black editions we looked at. All in all a pretty good value considering the dealer had a Pilot Black Edition in the showroom stickered at $58,000.

Traded my 2020 RTL with 45,000 miles on it. Never put brakes, tires, or any other money into the truck other than oil changes and the one rear diff fluid replacement, which I did myself.

Pretty low cost of ownership if you ask me.

I owed $3300 on the 2020, so add that to the trade in or take it off the purchase price and you can see I made out very well.
