Can you use your phone instead of your Key FOB?

I was working with someone recently who had a Tesla, and he just uses his phone as his car key. He can open and lock the car and start the car all with his phone. Is it possible to do this with the Honda Ridgeline?

Many functions of the Tesla app including tire pressure, opening the frunk/trunk/doors, locking/unlocking, lowering/raising windows, operating the climate control/heated steering wheel/heated seats, turning on/off Sentry Mode (video recording), honking the horn, flashing the lights, opening/closing the charging port door, adjusting the volume, displaying the odometer/VIN/software version, download/install software updates, activating Bioweapon Defense Mode, or remotely "starting" the vehicle so someone near the vehicle who doesn't have a key can drive it all go through a server. You can also see where the vehicle is at all times, how fast it is traveling, what is playing on audio system, how much range is left, and which door(s) are open - this is one reason Teslas have such a low theft rate. And, there is no extra charge for this capability.

However, using a smartphone to unlock the vehicle is done locally without going through a server.

I wonder if @securityguy left the Firstech Drone system in his RL when he sold it?

Does the local unlock use Bluetooth?
Yes - the vehicle shows up as a Bluetooth phone key.

Does the connectivity for other functions use cellular?
That appears to be the case since there have been a few instances where I could not communicate with the vehicle due to no cellular data connectivity in the vehicle (AT&T) or my phone (Verizon) even while within Bluetooth range.
