Going to need to replace my 07 in the near future. I've struggled with the decision, but it looks like an SUV for me for now. I don't use a truck bed nearly as much as I used to and really just need cabin space for kids/dog/stuff. I would really like a little better fuel mileage, too. Can't buy new right now with stupid pricing and can't buy 2-3 year old RL for similarly stupid pricing. I'm seeing 2017/18 Acura MDX's with 70-80k miles going for asking prices in the $23-26k range, which is where I'm much more comfortable. Same basic drivetrain as the 21+ RL without the $35k asking prices for used RTL-E's. I'll probably jump into that and look at something new in 3-5 years when life situations will likely allow for it.

Well my property finally sold today closed money in the bank. I can treat myself to a new vehicle pay cash for what I want.
I thought new redesign Ridgeline would be available. But I've decided on 2024 Pilot Elite. I seen over on Pilot forums the 2024 Owners Manual is shown. They apparently have changed the USB outlets from the 2023 new redesign. So the sale move from my childhood family home in Washington,DC to Southern Maryland permanently. When we got Ridgeline in family sisters vehicle that I picked out. I was back and forth between each location staying part-time taking care of elderly handicapped mother and nephew still in school. Now I'm here permanently so have to change address license registration on my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL 105,100 miles. I just put new tires, front and back brakes, oil, power steering flush. More than car worth but nothing wrong with. I keep it.
But need more dependable travel vehicle.
This sale has not gone smoothly but done now. I miss my home and neighborhood that I lived at over 6 decades.
But sister said I deserve a new vehicle now.
We can keep Ridgeline going it got new radiator last year.
But Pilot got my interest Modern Steel/Brown
color combo. I already decided to put running boards on. Even if might not need. My goddaughter has little children. So little feet.
I will set aside money for front window tint Dashcam, infotainment screen protector plastic, armrest tray will see if dealership has PPO package but some other accessories I could put on myself.
I would possibly been torn between Ridgeline and Pilot had they done redesign.
Just don't need another pickup truck yet.

Found a new 2023 RL listing with a VIN label listing showing a08/23 MFG date with a …48812 VIN. I also see 2023s with …49xxx VINs in the listings that I assume are also very recent builds. So it appears the 2023s are still rolling off the assembly line.

Keep in mind that model year production typically overlaps by weeks and sometimes months.

If i had to guess, 2024 will bring us new headlights in order to get the Top Safety Pick+, and possibly an SE trim? No idea if it will get the new engine, but the 9ZF is likely to soldier on until we get the new platform.

Hopefully, it will be a very short model year to be replaced by the 2025 on the new platform a year from now.

2022 Pilots were manufactured until at least December 12, 2022 according to this recall information.

The 2023 Pilot was announced on November 22, 2022 and went on sale December 12, 2022.

We won't know for sure unless or until production dates are revealed in a future recall for the 2023 Pilot, but it's likely that there was at least some overlap.

(As an aside, note the overlap in production between model years. The 2017 and 2018 overlap by about a month, the 2018 and 2019 overlap by about two months, and the 2019 and 2020 overlap by over four months.)

And not even a slight engine change like the Pilot received?

From the G2 FB page, while we are all speculating and throwing around information. Here is the pricing one guy threw out. Not sure why the RTL-E is included. We need Honda to chime in before we get carried away.

"They anticipate the prices varying by trim level, with the MSRP for the Sport trim beginning at $40,000, the RTL trim at $43,000, the RTL-E trim at $46,000, the Black Edition trim at $48,000, and the new TrailSport trim at $52,000."

So all we have left are lighter colors, along with black and red.

We don’t know the
Pilot got a DOHC V6 without Vtec among many other things. Is that a "slight" change? . . .Seems like our early intel was correct from Zroger's insider "buddy" and for those of us who read Honda's press release and took it at face value. GenII staggers on for another year. YAWN.

I'm feeling pretty chuffed with my RTL-E purchase 3 weeks ago
we still don’t know the cosmetic changes yet on 2024. Announcement should be coming very soon.

Good to know!

So at this point, we will only get the J35Y8 w/ the Honda 10-speed when the 3rd Gen Ridgeline arrives. The next question then is if and when the RL/Pilot/Passport platform will get Hybridization, whether with the J35Y8, or with a version of the 2.0 Turbo 4. Interesting times ahead.

I'm sure Honda isn't sitting still in regards to electrification (hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric) of their "large trucks" (Pilot, Ridgeline, Odyssey, and Passport), but there have been no public announcements or leaks regarding plans.

The 2024 Passport was announced today.

It gets a wider center console with an integrated armrest to replace the seat-mounted armrests, USB-C charging ports, and a different wireless charger design (maybe this one will actually work).

Also, "Expanded line of available Genuine Honda Accessories includes underbody protection..."

I'd guess the 2024 Ridgeline will, too.

You beat me by 19 minutes.

Looks like the 2024 Ridgeline will be a carryover.
