We have a G1 Fit, an HRV, a G2 CRV, and now our Swiss-Army knife of a truck in our G1 Ridgeline -- and I love the quirky looks of all of them! I love their cleverness of design, and their functionality; but I can't say that the looks are universally appealing. Beautiful in MY eyes, sure...but I think no one does UGLY as well as our friends at Honda (and yes, I had to be talked out of an Element...)

I always wanted an Element, especially when the ROC was young and there were some joint EOC/ROC events...

Have you ever seen the Top Gear episode which Jeremy Clarkston reviews the Element in England, yet it was never imported there....

I wouldn't call Honda designs ugly but they tend to be conservative styling and I have mixed feelings on both generations of Ridgelines (I've had three Civics, one CRX-Si, one Element, one Fit, and one Ridgeline) and tend to favor function over form. I really liked my Element with manual transmission. My soon to be ex-wife ended up with my Element. Put an extended Element body on a Ridgeline chassis. That might make an interesting vehicle, towing would be good but MPG would be dismal.

I've owned two Honda Elements. I've also owned 5 Subaru's - many would argue these two manufactures are in contest to produce the world's most consistently ugly vehicles.

I do seem to like boxy and functional.

I miss my Honda Element(s). What other car/suv allows you to Roll a Triumph Bonneville Motorcycle into the Cabin? (That's if you don't mind the Triumph's front tire sitting in your between-the-seats front cup holder).

Now that's AWESOME, I'd love to see a Picture...

Do we need to create an UGLY CAR thread in the off topic section just for this? I agree the Pontiac Aztec was one ugly car and the AMC Pacer as well. Quite a few more come to mind. I have never been a fan of the Element, but I could see its ability as a vehicle between a car and a SUV. Especially for a younger generation which I am not part of anymore. :surprise:
