I have read through many of the thousands of previous posts on tonneau covers. I don’t want to rehash ground that has already been covered. My question is this: Those of you who bought the North Mountain roll up cover have now had the, for several months. Are you still happy with your purchase? The comments I’ve read are generally days after install and very positive (except for the instructions). But I’ve seen a few negative posts start to pop up. Thanks in advance for your updates.

I am not a soft cover person. Had a Extang soft cover on my 93 Dodge Dakota. After a few years the material started to shrink and it became next to impossible to completely snap the cover closed. Had to replace the cover. And after a few years the shrinking started again. So when I bought my G1 I installed a Bak Backflip hard cover and have never looked back.

I have the North Mountain cover and couldn't be happier. I wasn't planning on putting a cover on as I use my bed often for hauling, but on a trip I wanted to conceal cargo so I ordered it and planned to remove it after the trip; its been on since December. Rolls up in a second, looks good, doesn't leak, and the price point is great. I don't care for a hard cover as I use the bed too often to want to compromise accessibility or the amount of available space for cargo. I had the old Extang cover on trucks in the past and the North Mountain is a whole different animal. Much easier to use than the old snap covers.

I have had my North Mountain installed for about 8 months now and am still completely satisfied with it. No issues with stretching, flapping, fading or major leaking. It is not fully watertight but that is due to the Ridgeline design and not the cover. Super easy to roll up and re-cover. Trunk can be opened (not fully) and used when covered. Exactly what I was looking for in a cover.

For what its worth, I had mine for about a week. No amount of adjusting could get it to keep from lifting up while on the highway and flapping like a drum head. Returning it to the sellers (who seem to be in China with local distributors based on their broken English) is proving to be difficult. I have a Lomax hard tonneau en route thanks to reviews here in ROC.

Reviving this thread with a bit of info that was new to me. Just took a two-hour trip, highway noise and movement from the cover was louder than I was used to, but I also realized I'd never spent an extended period of time on the highway with the truck before (only had it a month or so). Googled around and realized that the mechanism that locks down the cover can actually micro adjust back and forth to create more tension in the cover with a few hex bolts. Added a little more tension that way, also manually stretched the cover over the velcro on each side before heading back. Super quiet, minimal movement. Not something I would have even noticed without the longer trip. This might be common knowledge, but it wasn't something I knew about when I bought the cover.

Has anyone bought a tonneau cover recently ? The postings had me convinced to buy a North Mountain one but it is currently $245 on Amazon. For most other trucks it is under $200, just the Ridgeline version is way over. How much did people pay ? Is this a momentary peak in price or have they been slowly ramping it up ?

I have the north mountain roll up tonneau for almost a year. The flopping/fluffing on hwy with strong cross wind up to 70 mph but the it held. Pretty nervous at first after 7300 road trips out west in open county It proven it self. When rolled up it will not interfere with the honda tents. For the money you can buy 4 of roll up NM compare some others in 1000 ranges. It ride quieter better gas mileage biggest plus for me is :still se up the Honda tent with out removes and parts.

Interesting, I went to order the North Mountain roll-up tonneau cover for my 2022 Ridgeline RTL-E, and the compatibility selector showed it wasn't compatible. So for the hell of it, I entered 2021 Ridgeline RTL-E and it shows it was compatible. What gives? Is there a difference between the beds of 2021 and 2022?

Had this cover on for a few weeks. We have had some heavy rains over the last week or so and I noticed that there is water ponding on the top in the middle two sections. Is this a common issue with this cover? I can probably tighten up the tension a bit, but it seemed like it was fairly taught to begin with.
