Don't forget to get Dashcam Viewer software. It is way cool with the Viofo (and maybe others). Worth every penny to see your camera, path, speed, etc all in sync on the screen!

Thanks, ScooterS. Never knew there was such a thing.

I put a dash cam in my '07 Ridge last year and it has paid dividends already.

I highly recommend a dash cam in any vehicle.............and I will be moving it over or purchasing another dash cam for my 2017 Ridge when I pick it up in September.

Update
If you purchase from Spytec for an A119 or A119S be sure if you want the GPS or removable mount that you see it in their description. I have ordered two systems both A119's. One from Amazon and the other from Spytec. The Amazon order was filled by Spytec and included the GPS mount. The Spytec order after I carefully checked didn't.
I ordered the GPS mount because you can dismount the A119 and move it to any vehicle using the other plastic mounts supplied.

I ran the wiring today and had to get a mini low mount fuse tap. I will install that and test the new A119 to be sure it functions.
I think you are better off ordering from Amazon as they had a better price.
Hope this helps.
I followed the install instructions from the Honda Pilot install.

My quest for a capacitor based DUAL cam is proving to be fruitless. Well, semi fruitless. There are a couple out there but are 350.00+
Ugh...

I worry about the distracted driver behind me as much as the ones in front of me.

My quest continues.............

I have my eye on that one but the news about its release seems to be limited.

Nube here. I took the Lucas ARA cam out of my wife's car right before trading up to my new 2G RTL. That cam comes with two mounts, so I bought a second power wire from amazon and wired my old hot rod so that I can easily switch the cam from one car to the other. The Lucas has all the features I need and has great definition. aloha -pauly

Installed the A119 wiring today. Used the ACC 20A fuse since I don't have ACC ran the wiring along the same lines as the Honda Pilot DIY. Waiting on the GPS module to finish the install but the camera works fine. Very hard to get access to the fuse box by the driver's side since I am a big guy with large hands. I have found more room in my BMWs than trying to squeeze into the floor driver's side. ACC ihas power available all the time which is what I wanted.
Except for the PITA in the fuse box because of my size the rest was easy to route.
I want the camera on at all times since it has motion sensing and if someone backs into me I will capture it.

Do you remember what slot the ACC fuse is? I would like mine to run all the time, otherwise the date/time stamp gets all messed up.

I used #15 and have it powered all the time because I'm using the motion sensor and the bump sensor features. on the A119S.

Hey Scooter I went along with your parts suggestion and when I received the Rexing hardware kit it came with a fuse blade adapter already as part of the positive terminal. Is this what you received? I plan on removing it and installing the other adapter as it can take two fuses while the one already in place can not and would need to be installed in an empty fuse location.

Re: Dash Cam

Does anyone know if installing a dash camera like this (or, say, one of the EZ-pass transponders or both) will interfere with the safety features (like LKAS, etc.)? I asked a question on owners.honda.com, but they told me to ask the local Honda dealer service department, even after I asked if they could simply ask an engineer...

Not entirely sure that I understand your question (and I've slept since I did my install).
As I recall, my USB adaptor was a wire pigtail with no fuses or connectors. I connected the positive to the fuse adapter and plugged it into the open slot which was (I think) slot 30 which was empty on my truck. That gives me switched power and the adapter provides fuse protection.

Hope this helps!

no, they will not interfere with those systems, as they utilize cameras located at the top of the windshield. as long as the ezpass and dash cam do not block the cameras, you are fine.

My Rexing hardware kit came with the fuse preinstalled, I was just wondering if yours came the same way. I take it didn't, either way I'll most likely cut he wire and install the other adaptor.

Thank you! I just received the truck this week, hence, am reading the manuals this weekend. I did find additional details about the camera and radar in the owner's manual just an hour or so ago.

I also found that the manual warns owners about not interfering with the potential deployment of the air bags. I wonder if those who have snaked the connections between front and rear dashcams or to the fuse box are of concern?

From an aesthetics standpoint, they've done awesome work!

Perhaps buying two front-facing cameras and wiring the front-facing front camera to the mirror and the rear-facing front camera to the ceiling light would avoid issues.

Do the airbags "pop-through" the pillars and panels anyway? Maybe running a cable just at the edge is not an issue anyway?

if you pop the trim pieces off, you can just route the wires behind the airbags. you're right though, i feel like a lot of people don't do that and just push it into the gap.
