Actually there are several solid green wires in that are in that bundle. Glad you hit it the first time. Search of old posts show pics of the one to use

Yes indeed. I found that page when I got ready to do my wireless cam install on my clarion HU.

 

that was where i found the info too. Just wanted to make it easier to find on the roc for the next person doing their own install

 

also make sure to hook up the orange wire with white stripe(from new headunit) to solid orange wire(on car harness)

If you are already running an RCA wire from the HU back to the rear view camera, couldn't you also run the reverse signal wire from the HU to a green positive wire hooked up to one of rear back up lights? Just curious...

 

Yes, sure. But you then introduce the extra wire/cost as well as the opportunity for wire damage. Also, if a wireless cam is used there won't be any wiring or cableing to the back.
But, yes, a wire from the reverse light in back would serve the same function, just with a much longer circuit.

 

It's far easier to access the wire in the big thick bundle of wires that runs along the driver side from front to back. It's a solid green thin wire, and for me it was on the exterior of the bundle at about 9:00. Just very gently cut open the black corrugated material and expose the wires in the bundle. Make sure to test it with a sewing needle and test light while the vehicle is in reverse with parking brake engaged. This is the bundle of wires that basically runs between the driver seat and the driver door along the floor where the carpet seam is
