OEM ones will be installed on my EX-L before I take delivery. They are listed on my Purchase Agreement so will be covered by the vehicle 3yr/60k km warranty.
The dealer will love your unscheduled visits for puddle light repair. Maybe Honda will get the message that these lights need to be a little more robust.

Thanks again... Now time for me to get another set of harnesses.
Not sure if you have already received your harnesses but my truck is going to be here soon so I took a look at the part today. It has an in-line fuse attached at the top near the connector for under the dash and then each of the three light plugs has two wires with the OEM connector and with plenty of wire loom. I will just get some 2 way waterproof male/female connectors in place of the OEM connectors and I should have welcome lights with my aftermarket running boards

Not yet but I plan on ordering it soon. I'm currently working on something else (unrelated to this thread), just need to run the wire.

I do have the other "Y" harness under the dash already installed, which also has a fuse on it. Thanks for the pic. I was curious to see how it is.

Are you just going to splice the ends to connect the lights? I'm hoping I can find the ends fit it so I can keep it clean as possible.

Im not sure if its coincidence or not, but its both front lights that went out for me. I removed my front drivers side light and could not find anything visually wrong with it. Connection was tight, and I didn't see any signs of corrosion. I swapped it with the furthest rear light. As expected that light works fine in the front spot and the rear spot is now out. Same exact result on the passenger side too. Problem seems to be the LED module itself. Unfortunately its sealed up pretty good so the only option I can see is buying another couple Honda LEDs which I won't do based on their track record. Its the front ones I care about the most, so I'm happy enough for now. Guess I'll just wait and see how long the other 4 LEDs last.

I thought about it but from LunarMonkey’s post number 6 it looks like the other end of the connector is molded into the LED housing itself so I figured some generic male/female 2 wire connectors will work. I have some heat shrink, electrical tape, and extra wire loom lying around so I figure that will work. If you find those other ends anywhere else in the truck and get a part number do share.

Great to know about the inline fuse! I’ll check that before I dive into further troubleshooting my passenger side running board lights.

Agreed. I haven't even inspected mine yet, but I am already eyeing these while I'm at work. Metal housing, wide beam, specs seem really bright, and I'm guessing actually waterproof, not Honda waterproof... Kinda pricey, but Id rather go with something quality that will last, than run into these issues again.
I actually bought my rock lights from Oreily and so far good. It was a set with 4 lights on it.

I ordered up 2 of the aftermarket rock lights from post # 100. They were finally in stock for the white ones. I'm imagining these will be much brighter than the honda ones, so I plan to install in the front spots. Have the working 4 honda in back. I'm going to attempt to dremel the bad factory led modules apart and see if I can steal the connector so I don't have to hack the Honda harness to install.

I was a bit disappointed to see that it looks like superbrightleds increased their shipping substantially. It was $13 shipping for the 2 lights to AZ. I added on a few other goodies to make the shipping a bit easier to swallow. I'll update with the install when they arrive.

Did you compare measurements to see how they compare? Going to try and reuse the factory plastic mount or fab something unique?

Lights just arrived today. Here's a quick comparison, and a mockup underneath using double sided tape. I think ill try and use the factory brackets as they maintain the right angle and the lights don't stick out to much further than the honda ones did. It will just take Minor trimming of the plastic. Looks like there is enough meat on the plastic to screw into for a secure hold though.

Haven't had a chance to see light output as I'll have to wait until the weekend to wire them up.

Well like a kid on Christmas I couldn't wait to play with the new toy. Here is the light on hooked up to a 12v AC transformer. Much brighter than the honda ones. Possibly too bright. It didn't occur to me until now they would be a different temperature than the honda ones. Which is a bummer since my idea was to just replace the bad ones and run like this. I'm not sure my OCD will allow that to happen now.

Of course, I like the brighter one. I have OEM puddle lights on my Outback and the light output looks similar to your new one.
