My expectation is to keep the 24 Ridge for a decade, but that improved camera would be a serious incentive to upgrade sooner. Not primarily for off road, but for parking in tight/dark situations. Add in low-speed ACC plus the tow hooks and together they would be a big value add seemingly easy for Honda to do.

The solution is to have some kind of lift system for off roading that could lift it 2 or 3 inches, and then lowered for normal roads even lower for better handling/fuel economy. That of course adds complexity and weight and expense, but it would have been pretty cool.
Range Rover did that IIRC. My boss owned one and it was always broken [even though fairly new] so she ended up driving her Yukon XL most of the time.

So great for a hard core off-roader happy to do constant expensive maintenance, but not for me thank you.

Yea range rover is poop without that system and often breaks just normally (even on cars without that system) because range rovers are unreliable and problem prone. It's a red herring. Just because range rover cannot do it doesnt mean honda or others cannot.

That said, added complexity does add more points of failure. But I do think that Honda can manage it, and perhaps I'm mis remembering, but I thought someone said that Honda does have such a system, but it's limited to the acura line here in the US.

I gotta say,

I'm really hoping the new RL has better fuel economy. I was hoping for some type of small electric motor to lower costs, but the engine in the new Passprt will most likley be the same in th RL. No real improvement in HP or torque. As they didn't post the fuel economy specs, I'm hoping there is at least some weight savings, and better tuning or something. Another 7-10 years of the RL with basically the same engine will not be good for overall sales if the price of gas continues to rise.

That's the best-looking Honda I've seen in 20 years. 🔥
Just changed my order yesterday from new 2025 Pilot Elite to 2026 Passport TrailSport Elite trim.

I have a strong feeling the 2026 Passport will be or probably already is base of 3rd Gen Ridgeline. You'll get 3 trims and different packages. It will have same interior choices.
So no softer variant all off-road capable.
Probably have Orange DRLS like Passport TrailSport trims.
So exactly what I said a year and a half ago.
Except it was about it being on current Pilot TrailSport.

Do you think Ridgeline will have the fake black plastic hood scoop?
I doubt that it will have owned front distinct look. But probably have Orange Daytime Running Lights but it will have many of the under parts. It will be more off-road oriented.

Yeah I think it’s a really a Trailsport logo but there’s always a chance!
