Monitor temps and post, please. Congrats on the ‘22👍👍…..you may be the 1st here to get one.
I will. On my 100 mile trip home from the dealer, I noticed exactly where the indicated temp needle was.
Just a hunch: I do not think the VCMuzzler will deactivate Idle Stop, but that button certainly does.

I prefer the 9 speed. It seems slightly more refined overall. Like the new tires. It does have a more agressive look, more truck like. It could be the 82,000 miles , but the seats feel more supportive.

The hood is significantly heavier. Yes, the transmission‘s shifting seems smoother. Overall, it just seems quieter.
Comparing a 4 1/2 year old , 82,000 mile vehicle with a brand new vehicle may not be truly representative of the actual differences. However, I have kept it like new. Even the Carvana representative said today, when she was getting my 2017 RL that it looked as good as my brand new one.
I haven’t figured it all out yet, but the infotainment center seems improved.

It’s the new tires. I replaced the OE Firestones earlier this year….as always, new tires are quieter.

Back on topic: Does the VCM Muzzler keep the idle/stop from engaging?

If the G2 Ridgeline is anything like the G1 Ridgeline, the temp indication is normalized. You'll get the same indication over a wide range of actual temperatures... probably 50*F or more swings will all show the same relative gauge position.

Factory needle stops moving at about 160F actual ECT, efans turn on at about 205F actual ECT. Probably never see 205F as long as the vehicle is moving or efans are on (HVAC on). I don't believe anyone has verified actual ECT when the needle would start moving up again after the initial movement stop.

I don't think I've seen that reported either. I know I've seen coolant temps top 210*F on long climbs but the gauge never moved. And iirc, you are correct that the temp gauge reaches its normalized position around 160*F.
