I bought a 2017 RTL Scarlet Red last month with lighted running boards, dimming mirror, mud guards, wheel locks, low profile hood shield, CD player, all whether floor mats, under seat storage bin, trunk dividers, body side moldings.

My purcgase price was $34,286.00 plus tax tag, dealer fee.
In Cumming, GA

I took possession of my Pearl White Canadian Touring model today. I made the deal on it back in November, just had to wait for it to be delivered, then the back and forth of my dealer being away, then me being away. She wasn't impressed with coming in today, her day off, but I said it's today or next week.

I spent almost two hours crawling through the truck before I would sign anything. Both my sales person and the manager said they had never seen anyone go through a vehicle so thoroughly, using the checklist I put together from these forums. They were happy though when I explained my 2011 was maintained with the same anal methodical care.

Everything checked out, except THE HORN DIDN'T WORK. At first their response was that "we'll have to order a new one in and they'll let me know when it's in so they can replace it." My response was the truck wasn't going anywhere with a horn that doesn't work (illegal) and they better find me something else to drive while they wait for the part. They huddled again and came up with the solution they'd pull the horn off the BE that was in the showroom and put it on my truck. They gave me a test drive BE to go have lunch while they did that.

An hour later my truck was ready with a working horn. And this isn't a beep beep US horn, this is a HONK HONK Canadian horn :|

Putting the package together, this is a Canadian version Touring in Pearl White. Extras are a block heater and wheel locks. I also had the interior and exterior protection done, undercoated and electronic (cathodic) rust protection. I went with 7 year, 130,000 Km extended warranty, no deductible. I also had them put Michelin Defender LTX M/S 245/60R18 tires on it. With taxes (including our infamous $100 air conditioning tax), OTD was C$49,928.60

Serial No. is HB5044xx. Build date was Saturday, November 19, 2016.

Couple of pics below, showing the folding mirrors, climate system with seat heaters/cooler switches and rear seat control in the Canadian model.

Man, considering all the additional features of your "TOURING", compared to what we are paying for a lesser equipped RTL-E, you got a Great Deal!

Assuming most people know this, but in case you don't ... Truecar, Edmonds, KBB, etc. are not very accurate prices. They get paid by the dealerships (~$299 / sale). Dealerships are setting most of those prices that look like they are 1k lower than MSRP. With a little bit of negotiating and knowing your stuff and when to buy, you should be able to get Honda down ~3K on a Ridgeline. Of course the RTL-E is a tougher model to even find so they may do nothing at all, but I got my local dealer down ~$3,800 on a Pilot a couple years ago, and will be trying to get the Ridgeline RTL-E down at least $2K before accepting any offer. (I may never get this lucky as this truck is pretty amazing) Only thing you need to know is to not believe those sites, and do the math. They couldn't keep their doors open if they really only made a couple hundred bucks on each sale. They make a ton, especially when they meet monthly quotas. (Shop in the last 3 days of a month)

Here's the latest e-mail promo I received from our local dealer. I haven't studied it to figure out which trim it is, but thought I'd pass it along as a reference:

2017 Honda RIDGELINE ;
MSRP $33,915
SALE PRICE: $28,135*
SAVINGS: $5,780
Incidentally, I am shopping for a G1 and every Honda dealership I visit in this area (Northern Virginia/Metro DC/Baltimore) has anywhere from 6-8 G2 RLs on the lot.

We got our RTL a little more than 4k under MRSP in December, so it certainly is possible to get a "good deal" on one.

@ISO Truck, that number sure does sound like a good deal. The only RL's I saw advertised for 4k less were perhaps dealer testing models with 2-3k miles on them in the Seattle area. If that's a new, new one, may be a good find for someone!

The closest RL to that price I find is a Sport FWD. Not AWD. 33,015 plus destination ($940 for destination charge - would make it $33,955)

In your area, I would simply not consider a FWD only version if an AWD version is available. Shucks, I don't know anywhere I would take a FWD version over an AWD version. ;)

Your hunch is probably right about which model it is.

Yeah, I'm all about tow capacity, so FWD is a non-starter for me. Just thought it might be a data point for others who are shopping G2s.

I'm pricing some models now. I'll play the game and price them at MSRP and get the full WOTD price so I can see the break down price for fees and such then I'll bargain for a price so if they drop under MSRP its not padded somewhere else in the final price. All I know is that I'm not going to pay MSRP >:)
