I just called to make my first appointment to have some warranty work done. My dealer does not provide a loaner car, does yours?

Do they at least provide any transportation to your workplace or home and back? I know my one Honda dealer for the Accord does that, but the other dealer for the Ridgeline I believe told me (haven't had it in for service yet as it's new) they provide a loaner.

They will provide a ride home or to work if it is within 10 miles, but they will not pick you up. I am 14 miles away and they are my closest dealer and, who I purchased it new from.
Mine is also a new 2007 RTL.

My nearest dealer is over 50 miles away. Although I didn't buy it there, this dealer gives me a nearly new Civic to drive when I bring it in. Had the Civic for 4 days during the AM radio, steering wheel straightening and bumper fit warranty repairs. I filled it up before I dropped it off and picked up the truck. SM said that wasn't necessary. I said it was only fair. Who could ask for more? :D Lots of snacks and drinks in the waiting room with a huge glass window that allows you to see everything in the service area. They'll even escort you to your vehicle during service to discuss things with the tech. Me loyal? I should hope! ;)

Only if they have to keep it overnight unexpectedly.

No, they used to, but don't now. I'm sure they'd give us a ride home which is only about 3 miles away. So far we've usually just hung out there or walked across the street to get breakfast. If it's going to be a few hours we schedule on a day we're both off and I'll follow down in my Jeep when we drop it off.

Yes, if they have one available which they usually do. There are really no rules set as I have used the loaner just for a couple of hours as they fixed a loose body moulding clip

I take all my frustrations that my broken RL gave me and make that poor little loaner car pay!

Yes, but they have started charging $5. Started this when gas jumped up to near $3 /gal last summer. No biggie, cheap rental car if you ask me.

When I had the TSB for the steering wheel creak the dealer paid for a rental vehicle. I got to drive, and beat on a brand new 2006 Nissan Pathfinder, and was very happy to get my RL back after 1 day in the Nissan.

There is a car rental company right at my dealership. If I am getting warranty service and I need to leave the truck overnight (or multiple days) they give me a voucher to give to the rental company that covers the cost of the rental. This is actually a better deal than the loaner concept, because the rental company has an entire fleet of practically new vehicles. It's a virtual guarantee that you will get a car when you need one, rather than the dealer having only a few loaners.
The dealer also has a courtesy van that will drop you off and pick you up later within a reasonable distance (probably 10 miles or so).
Also the dealer has a room where you can work if you choose to wait. There's Internet access so you can get on-line and VPN into the company network.
All in all it's a pretty good setup.

My dealer does not provide a "loaner" but since i have have bought 6 honda's from them in the last 3 years they kinda look past that. Normally they will give me a demo car for the period of time of the service.
