Finished it today...Acura RL front calipers grafted onto my RL...stock rotors which are the same as the Acuras.
Had to make some adapters, machine a saddle into the calipers - used the stock Acura lines/hoses and it's working perfect.
I didn't have to modify any of the stock set up...I could go back to original in minutes. No changes to the backing plate even.

Definitely more bite than the stock ones.

Nice mod--glad is working satisfactorily.:act035:

Thanks you all!

The cost was worth it to me...did most myself.
Calipers $100
Blast and powerdercoat $150
Steel $5

It definitely feels much better...more agressive and responsive. It's been just one day so I'll report again later.
And yeah the rotors do look small in there now!

How's the front to rear balance?

I'm pretty sure this would fit with 17's ... there is lots of room and the caliper is roughly the same size as the stock one - WAY lighter tho!
Anything can be made to fit but I suspect the brembo kit would need its own adapter otherwise you would be putting one adapter onto another.

That 31"+ tire looks pretty nice, but that 20" rim is just a monster.

Your work is just outstanding. The Advics are not bad. The brake work looks just sick. I have been reading quite a few things in the Aucurazine.com and their R&D is as elementary as ours, but difference is that they have the time and financial resources to pursue it.

Good work mate.

I've put Lexus, Mazda, Wilwood, calipers on a few different Porsches/Audis/BMWs, Even put Corvette 6 pots on a couple Porsches. Heck my favorite swap was the Corvette V8 engine Porsche swap. Cheap, Fast, and Reliable.

The tech drawing is of a 320x28x49mm offset rotor. Should be very close to the Ridgeline rotor?....
And biggest question is there a known factory Acura/Honda 330-350mm Diameter rotor?

yeah, ridgeline is 320x28x47.5 mm. So yeah, very close. However, we are a 5x120 and the Santafe is not.
There are plenty of threads with the Pilot/MDX with 330mm rotor and caliper swaps, search for it and read through.
You can also test fit the new MDX/TLX Type-S rotors and caliper sets - they run 4-piston calipers with a 364x30x55 rotors.
The Civic Type-R rotor & Calipers are another option - 350x32x55 rotors with a 4-piston caliper.

Thank you for your insight. I did some more digging and found a good candidate...

Quantum Mechanic wouldn't have had this one available at the time he did this swap...

350x30x55
5x120 PCD

A true 14" rotor from '22 MDX 3.5L non turbo showing. A 32mm width rotor won't fit the annular sweep area of the Acura RL 4-pots (30mm width MAX), so this would be the go-to rotor under factory 18's...

Here is the caveat. Factory wheels, with their offset, barrel design, and spoke design, wont clear any opposed piston calipers. Even the Advics from the RL wont clear factory wheels without spacers as you need at least 3mm air-gap between the wheel/spokes and the caliper face. These RL calipers are not the cream of the crop either.
On a Gen-1, a rotor hat height of 55mm will contact the lower control arm. My rotor's height is around 52mm and I had to grind done the edge of the LCA as it was contacting the rotor. So that is a no-go either.

Keep the hat height under 50mm and the diameter under 355mm to clear 18" wheels - that said, these would have to be aftermarket wheels.
