Has anyone ever had any kind of difficulty installing side step brackets to the frame of the truck. I just got the new side steps in yesterday and will install them this weekend. My only concern is the frame holes where the brackets will be mounted. I have a 2012, and the years of winter and rain here in the northeast, seemed to have taken it's toll on the frame holes. They are a little rusted, and I am worried that the bolts will not go in smoothly. Does anyone have any suggestions........Thanks

Use the "Search" in the blue bar, I've read this concern before and the solution was to "Chase" the threads with the correct metric tap. You may be able to borrow a "Tap and Die kit" from your autoparts or they are fairly inexpensive at Harbor Freight.

I agree on recovering the existing holes. Quality name brand bars like Raptor, provide full 4 bolt mounting compared with some off brands that only mount below the rocker panel and don't extend further back.
Take advantage of the better mounting scheme!
