The norm is there is no norm. It is totally dependent on your right foot and your driving environment.
My max is 467 miles. Some have topped 500 miles. I also trickle fuel in after the first shutoff and get an extra 3 to 3.5 gallons of gas without seeing gas in the filler neck.

Since I started driving 55 on 55 posted roads instead of 60-61 I can get closer to 350. On a trip to Branson MO I drove part way 70 and other half 65 and I would have made 400 except the low fuel light was on (I was at about 380) so I just filled up since it was convenient.

Around town = 350 - 375. Highway = 425 - 475
BUT, these are calculated using a 22 gallon tank. I usually fill up with 14-17 gallons, so I don't actually get those range numbers.

I'm not sure, I haven't taken down that far. But I do suspect that it would be somewhere around 450.

I'm lucky if i get 300 miles out of a tank and alot less if I'm pulling my boat.:act002:

My typical is almost 300, mostly city driving. I've gotten around 400 when mostly highway.

Topped off from the strip of Las Vegas, drove roughly between 70-80mph, paused at In N Out Burger in Kingman AZ, :act027: made it all the way to Gallup, NM. My mileage showed 425 when I stopped for gas, and yes the LF light was on!

I like reading the postings on this site, but either I bought a lemon or most people responding are overly positive. I am very luck to get around 280 to 300. yes I am in the breakin period, but my combined mileage over first 4900 miles is 14.5 mpg.. some boat towing, about 50-60% city driving and reasonable amount of highway. The gas mileage is so bad, I have considered buying a new truck (Tacoma) when the new 2012 models are available... I'm a very frugal person, and the depreciation will really piss me off, but when a truck can't meet it's sticker mileage (especially a Honda) its a POS.. at $4.00 a gallon, I can probably make up the depreciation with just a couple mpg gain

I guess most all cars are POS then. Practically no car ever meets sticker mileage (computed in idealized conditions) when driven in the real world.

How did you calculate 28 mpg? O'Neill listed his overall mpg at 24.5. Which is far better than I've ever seen. (jealousy mode engaged.)

I can comfortably get about 350 miles with a 30/70& mix of city/highway driving. I absent-mindedly took it down to the low fuel light over this past weekend and was pushing 400 miles before I refilled.
I do think I have a pretty light right foot, and the MPG shoots up whenever I can use the cruise control.

I have driven from Oakland Airport Hilton to the gas station near my condo in Long Beach, CA over 369 miles, driving the posted speed limit all the way, on a tank of gas!

I get 310-320 miles in town and approx 18mpg. Tell you guys something, even in town I use my cruise control and it's helped my MPG. My drive to work is 7 miles each way and traffic lights every mile so I'm kinda happy getting 18MPGs. I haven't been on a road trip yet so I can't comment on that part.
